Cultivate’24: Hort Americas to Showcase Innovative LED Lighting and Several New Horticulture Products

The new Arize Element® L2000 from Acuity Brands is among many horticulture items that Hort Americas will have available at Cultivate’24 on July 13-16.

Among the most efficient grow lights in its class, the L2000 offers up to 3600 µmol/s and can reduce fixture count by up to 40% when installed as an HPS replacement.

Additional lighting on display at the Hort Americas booth (#2421) includes:

  • Arize Factor ML300 (used in indoor farms for leafy greens, propagation or vegetative growth)
  • Arize Factor ML900 (used for indoor high-light intensity crops and vertical farms)
  • Arize Life2 (used in  multi-layer applications for leafy green, microgreens and propagation-stage crops)

See Meteor Systems’ HDPE floating rafts.

These exceptionally durable rafts last 4-5 times longer than traditional EPS rafts, reducing replacements and landfill waste, while promoting sustainable farming. They can be customized for various plant hole shapes and sizes, simplifying plant removal and transplanting.

Also, they’re easy to clean with chemicals, high-pressure washing and hot water, ensuring a clean start to each growing cycle and lowering disease risk. This reduces the total cost of ownership, making HDPE floating rafts a more profitable long-term investment for growers.

See Agrifast’s innovative plant clipping system.

Hort Americas is the exclusive distributor of Agrifast’s Tomsystem in the United States and Canada. This unique clipping system, which uses galvanized steel clips, replaces traditional crop-supporting methods. Besides the sustainability benefits, its clipping process lowers labor cost per hectare, providing growers with a significant net economic gain.

With the Tomsystem, clipping speed can reach 2,000 plants per hour. The clipping tool also closes in five adjustable positions, allowing for customization based on a crop’s thickness and weight.

See Hort Americas’ specially selected seeds.

Technological advancements have created a gap between CEA facility growers and traditional field farmers, leading to missed opportunities. This gap, particularly in seed access, handling and processing knowledge, is crucial for successful crop cultivation and cost management.

One way Hort Americas bridges this gap is by offering specially selected seeds. Our selection process draws on knowledge from field farmers and demand for products that stand out for their superiority. We’ve trialed and tested several seed products that you can see at Cultivate’24.

See the Apogee Guardian CEA Multi-Sensor Monitor.

This device provides accurate measurements of important indoor environmental parameters. The Guardian is a user-friendly datalogger with multiple integrated sensors to measure PAR (SM-500) or ePAR (SM-600), air temperature, humidity, vapor pressure deficit and dewpoint, CO2 concentration, barometric pressure, daily light integral, and photoperiod.
